I worked for AMLI for a year and decided that I wanted to stay home with my children. Once it was time for me to return to the workforce, I interviewed and interviewed and turned down a few jobs -- nothing compared to the culture that AMLI inspires. (read more) AMLI’s culture extends beyond its own doors and allows me to reach out and give back in many ways. A healthy work/life balance is very important to me. AMLI allows me to do that, even allowing me to bring my children to our AMLI FAMLI picnic. Not only does it help with my work/life balance, it also help my children balance their lives. I have been with AMLI for over 5 years now, and each day has been a new learning experience.

I love working for AMLI for so many reasons. First and foremost, what sets AMLI apart from any other company is how fantastic AMLI treats people. Employees, residents, prospective residents and vendors are treated with the upmost respect. They genuinely care about the well-being and success of each and every person. AMLI is an amazing company to work for. If you are looking for an environment where you feel valued, empowered, and that you matter…this is the company for you. Having been in this industry since 1989, I can honestly say that AMLI is the best company I have ever worked for. I also love that fact that at AMLI, we have such a diverse employee base. (read more) It is an environment that embraces differences and embraces change. At AMLI, you matter…your ideas are relevant…and everyone can be heard. I am not aware of any other company where Senior Management (i.e.: Senior Vice Presidents, the CEO, and the President) are so accessible. There is no red tape; there aren’t layers of bureaucracy to go through to get to the final decision makers. I am honored and humbled to do what I do every day. The decisions that I have been entrusted to make, affect the lives of our employees, prospects, and residents. I take that responsibility seriously. I am very thankful for the support that my team and I receive from Senior Management, Accounting, Risk Management, HR, I.T. and all of the departments in our company that make us as successful as we are. Our training and education department is first-rate, offering a tremendous resource from training to coaching. Our executive team is engaging, caring, and understanding, and with a clear vision provides us with many challenges and rewards along the way. I've been with AMLI for five years now. I am very grateful for the opportunity I was given. I work in the construction division of AMLI building new properties. Having worked for other companies in the past, I can honestly say no one compares to AMLI. I have been lucky enough to have worked for AMLI for over 10 years now. I started out in a Leasing Consultant position, and through AMLI's training and a strong support system in my peers and leaders, I have been able to hold several different positions. The different roles over the years have shaped me personally and professionally. AMLI is polished with courtesy and understanding, displaying the right attitude at all times. Even when it seems grim or uninviting to someone who may not see it at first, but 98% of the time because you have left a mark of good intent, a person will come back to you for more of your unbeatable service; trust me I know. AMLI has a foundation, steadfast in its 6 core competencies, each part as vital as the next. I did not even know that I do each one, even when I think that I am only focusing on one. I don't know what other residential businesses are like, but I know I'm in good hands with AMLI to have so many positives to watch. Some employees leave, only to return says a lot - that this is a place that's innovating and growing with the world.
